Countries with the most emissions in the past

Countries with the most emissions in the past

After collecting all the data provided by CDIAC, Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center, I created this graph which helps in comparing the carbon dioxide emissions from different countries. As we see from the graph below, the United States ranked as the world's largest national source of fossil fuel-related CO2 emissions til 2006. China surpassed the United States as economic development in China has been rising very quickly for the last 20 years. [6]

The graph (below) shows the countries with the most carbon emission in 2010. The top three countries are China, United States, and India.[2]

  1. This is very interesting information! Good job on your graph :) I would just re-size it so that the sidebar information doesn't interfere with your graph.

  2. Nice job on the graph and the synthesized information, also it might be a good idea to resize the graph so it fits on the page. Overall nice first page and background

    1. Hey nice job on the graph just like the above comments pointed out before me. I would suggest you add some more information on this page and not just two graphs..Maybe get into some information on the factors that are leading China to take over so rapidly and why U.S has been the leading country.

  3. Your graph is great and the images you chose are perfect. My only suggestion is maybe add more information describing why different countries have different rates of emissions. Perhaps there are policies or economic practices that affect emissions? Which countries have implemented laws or strategies to deal with emissions and how does that compare with the actual emissions?

  4. Wow, nice graph! As others have suggested, it might be a good idea to explain the reasons behind these past and upcoming trends in carbon dioxide emissions. You could discuss a variety of factors such as economic development and government policies.
